Jamshedpur, Sep 19: World Patient Safety Day is an initiative started by WHO. Its main objective is to promote patient safety and spread awareness among health workers.
Patient Safety Week (12 September to 17 September) was observed at Brahmanand Narayan Multispeciality Hospital. The quality department of the hospital organized various programs related to patient safety like quizzes, and other competitions. Employees from all departments actively participated in it. Through the programs, the staff were made aware about patient safety and how to prevent any harm related to patient safety. Medical superintendent Dr Mukesh Kumar said that not only doctors but also the participation of people from all departments like paramedics team, technicians, housekeeping and other departments is also important in the care of patients. He also said that we at the hospital ensure that all safety protocols are followed so that all patients get safe and care.
