Poetic Antakshri Competition organised by Al-Hera Library

Jamshedpur, July 29: 
Inter School Bait Bazi Muqabla (Poetic Antakshri Competition) was organised  Urdu Unit, Al-Hira Library, in association with Adarah Adbe Islami, Shah at Conference Hall, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Jamshedpur. Tanveer Akhtar,  Romantic Conveyance conducted the program. The presiding speech was given by Altaf Ahmad and the vote of thanks was given by Mohammad Shahnawaz Qamar, President of Al-Hera Library. Various aschools from Jamshedpur took part in this event. Medals, certificates, books and cash were awarded to each student of the team securing first and second position and trophies were also given to the school teachers of the winning teams. Certificates were given to all the students who participated in this match.

Dr. Altaf Ahmed, Head of Chemistry Department Al-Kabir Polytechnic, Jamshedpur, Mr Jameel Mazhar (Senior Poet), Professor Ahmed Badr, Department of Urdu Karim College, Gohar Aziz, Urdu Department Karim City College were present as guests of the event. In memory of his late father, Ziaul Mubeen Ansari sponsored a trophy and medal in his name. Eminent teachers, poets and social activists of the city were also present.

Jamshedpur, Jan 14: NDTV journalist and executive editor Kamal Khan passed away at the age of 61 on Friday. The journalist reportedly suffered a heart attack at his residence in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. NDTV confirmed the news on their Twitter handle. Several journalists and others also expressed their shock and grief at the news on the social media platform.

Quiz Competition organised by CSWO at M. O. Academy, Zakirnagar.  BRAIN COMPILER Team  Jamshedpur, Dec 13: Sir Syed Ahmed Group won the title in the 4th general quiz competition organized by Chishti Student Welfare Organization at M.O.  Academy Zakirnagar. The team included Mantasha Afreen, Noori and Noorjahan. The runners-up were Nilofar, Alsadaf and Farhat from the Maulana Azad Group. The second runner-up Mirza Ghalib group consisted of Anas, Faiz and Shadab. The quiz was conducted by Mahboob Alam, the founder of the CSWO. Seven teams based on students of classes VIII to X from different schools participated in the quiz.  On this occasion, the Hindustan (daily Hindi newspaper, Jamshedpur), Editor Manoranjan Singh gave away the prizes to the winners.
