Who was the man behind India's first-ever Budget in 1860?  

The first Indian Budget was presented by the founder of 'The Economist' magazine James Wilson on April 7, 1860. Wilson presented the Budget in his capacity as the Member (Finance) of the India Council that advised the Viceroy of India. The Scottish hatmaker had also founded the Chartered Bank in 1853.

Jamshedpur, Jan 14: NDTV journalist and executive editor Kamal Khan passed away at the age of 61 on Friday. The journalist reportedly suffered a heart attack at his residence in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. NDTV confirmed the news on their Twitter handle. Several journalists and others also expressed their shock and grief at the news on the social media platform.

Quiz Competition organised by CSWO at M. O. Academy, Zakirnagar.  BRAIN COMPILER Team  Jamshedpur, Dec 13: Sir Syed Ahmed Group won the title in the 4th general quiz competition organized by Chishti Student Welfare Organization at M.O.  Academy Zakirnagar. The team included Mantasha Afreen, Noori and Noorjahan. The runners-up were Nilofar, Alsadaf and Farhat from the Maulana Azad Group. The second runner-up Mirza Ghalib group consisted of Anas, Faiz and Shadab. The quiz was conducted by Mahboob Alam, the founder of the CSWO. Seven teams based on students of classes VIII to X from different schools participated in the quiz.  On this occasion, the Hindustan (daily Hindi newspaper, Jamshedpur), Editor Manoranjan Singh gave away the prizes to the winners.
